We are delighted that UCL East Marshgate has been shortlisted for a RIBA London Award 2025.

Designed by Stanton Williams, East Marshgate is part of University College London and sits within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. From its inception, the project embraced a strategy of longevity, creating an adaptable, future-proof building. The façade features durable precast components, carefully arranged to convey solidity and elegance while enhancing energy efficiency through valuable shading.

This research, innovation and teaching building covers 35,000m2; making it the largest single expansion of University College London since it was founded in Bloomsbury nearly 200 years ago.

Wintech collaborated with main contractors Mace to deliver Façade Consultancy and  Façade Access Consultancy. Services included full technical review of specifications and full design audit including technical appraisal of all structural and thermal calculation packages. Consultants also attended laboratory testing of prototypes, witnessed on site-testing as well as regularly monitoring on-site activities during the installation of the pre-cast concrete, GRC, unitised curtain wall and windows, doors and stick curtain wall façade elements.
