FAQs
Our Graduate Programme is designed to provide you with broad exposure of our business while helping you build the technical, professional, and personal skills needed for a successful engineering career. Throughout the programme, you will spend time working within each of our engineering disciplines, gaining valuable experience of how different teams contribute to the successful delivery of projects. This rotational approach provides a unique opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding of a multi-disciplinary engineering business, helping you appreciate how collaboration between different specialisms leads to the best outcomes for our clients.
As a graduate, you will be actively involved in live projects from an early stage, giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a practical environment and make a meaningful contribution to the team. You will also take part in site visits, allowing you to see projects first-hand and gain a deeper understanding of how designs and engineering solutions are implemented in the real world. In addition, you will have opportunities to attend industry events, expand your professional network, and keep up to date with developments across the engineering sector. Alongside these experiences, we will support your ongoing development through training and hands-on learning, helping you build the confidence and skills needed to achieve your career goals.

Joining our Graduate Programme involves a straightforward three-stage selection process designed to help us get to know you and give you a better understanding of our business.
Stage 1 is the application stage, where you’ll submit your CV and supporting information, including confirmation of your right to work.
Stage 2 is a written exercise, where you’ll be asked to answer a selection of questions that help us understand your interest in our business, your motivations, and what you could bring to the programme.
Stage 3 is a face-to-face Assessment Day at our Head Office. During the day, you’ll take part in a range of activities, including a group exercise, a short interview, and a presentation. These activities allow us to see how you perform in different situations while giving you the opportunity to showcase your skills and potential. You’ll also have the chance to meet some of our previous graduates and learn more about their experiences. Following the Assessment Day, we aim to inform all candidates of the outcome within approximately one week.

Yes. While your primary base location will be our Head Office in Wolverhampton, the Programme is designed to give you experience across our wider business, and as such, travel will be required. During your rotations, you may spend time working from several of our UK office locations to gain exposure to different engineering disciplines, teams and projects. You will also be expected to attend site visits, which provide valuable insight into how our projects are delivered in practice. As project and client requirements can change, some travel opportunities may arise at short notice. We therefore look for graduates who are flexible and willing to travel as required to make the most of the learning opportunities available throughout the programme.
Our Graduate Programme is designed to provide a foundation for a long-term career with us. Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be offered a permanent role within the business. Throughout the programme, we will work closely with you to understand your strengths, interests, and career aspirations. We will endeavour to align these with suitable opportunities available within the organisation. At this point, you will transition from the Graduate Programme into a permanent position, with a defined role and career path aligned to our Career Framework. This provides opportunities for continued development, progression, and professional growth as you build your career with us.
