Designed by Glenn Howells Architects, One Centenary Way has 3-metre-wide horizontal windows encased within an exposed structural steel façade. A Vierendeel Exoskeleton provides a stable solution to the absence of a normal load-bearing core. As the building is situated directly over the A38 Queensway Tunnel, the intelligent design incorporates transfer trusses so that the load of the façade and the building floorplates will be 23-storeys high covering 280,000 sq ft.
