Preserving historic structures requires a thoughtful balance of technical rigour, inquisitiveness and respect. Wintech applied these principles through our recent involvement with the Victoria Centre clock tower in Nottingham, an iconic remnant of the city’s railway heritage.
Wintech were appointed by Savills to undertake a comprehensive condition survey, which included, a drone-based external fabric inspection, a non-intrusive internal survey, a detailed report with recommendations focused on the continued structural integrity and safe retention of the tower.
This project offered an excellent opportunity to apply our diagnostics expertise within a heritage context—balancing precision, sensitivity, and minimal disruption to a publicly visible structure.
It was a privilege to contribute to the preservation of such a historically significant landmark within the city of Nottingham.
