One of Birmingham’s newest and most anticipated landmarks, the Octagon, has officially reached practical completion, setting a new standard for high-rise residential design and construction in the UK.
Standing as the world’s tallest octagonal residential tower, the development is an iconic addition to the city’s skyline. Wintech were involved as façade consultants from concept stage alongside Howells architects. Our role encompassed producing a performance specification, participating in full laboratory testing to oversee design function, and undertaking auditing responsibilities through RIBA stages 2-4.
Congratulations to all the project teams involved in bringing this incredible vision to life. We’re delighted to have contributed to such a transformative development for the city of Birmingham.
