Sister, formerly known as ID Manchester, is a £1.7 billion, 15-year regeneration project led by The University of Manchester and Bruntwood SciTech, spanning approximately 18 hectares on the university’s former North Campus.
Wintech are proud to have delivered specialist Façade Engineering Consultancy for the Plot C Stage 2 works, involving façade strategy development, thermal calculations, and embodied carbon assessments.
In addition, Wintech provided Façade Access Consultancy solutions, supporting safe and efficient maintenance strategies for the project.

Envisioned as a globally competitive innovation district, Sister focuses on sectors such as digital technology, health innovation, biotechnology, advanced materials, and advanced manufacturing. The masterplan outlines around 4 million sq ft of mixed-use development, including over 2 million sq ft of commercial, innovation, retail, and leisure space, along with approximately 1,500 new homes, set around nine acres of enhanced public realm and green spaces.
