Wintech have provided Façade Engineering & Design consultancy services on The Prince of Wales Development Phases 1, 2 & 3.
Following the trail of several triumphant ventures with Berkeley Group PLC, this multi-phase development utilises a large variety of construction techniques and materials across eleven buildings, including brick masonry, precast concrete, curtain walling systems, GRC & aluminium rainscreen systems and aluminium windows & doors. The buildings rise from two to twenty-six storeys and the proposed layout maximises the amount of sunlight entering the development. Each block has its own different façade treatments, providing variety through horizontal or vertical expression.
By sharing design responsibility between consultants and the curtain walling subcontractor, the client benefits from improved quality of final installation with a consultant producing a complete working design and thereafter providing professional consultancy services.
