Charlie Shaw began his career at Wintech as a Trainee Design Engineer, developing a strong and robust understanding of façade systems, their details, systems, and performance, before progressing into the role of Design Engineer. He later moved to London and into façade fire engineering role, undertaking on-site surveying work and authoring Fire Risk Assessments of External Walls (FRAEW). He then developed these FRAEWs into detailed remediation scopes and monitored remediation progress, collaborating with design teams, providing technical solutions that met regulatory requirements, and managing clients and frameworks for a large UK Tier 1 contractor’s fire remediation scheme.

Following this, he worked as a Façade Consultant, collaborating with Tier 1 contractors on high‑profile façade projects from early Stage 2 concept design through to Stage 5 construction monitoring. His role involved liaising with clients and design teams throughout each RIBA stage and completing CMT reviews.

Following on from this engineering background, Charlie has now joined the Business Development team at Wintech as a Commercial Engineer, where he is responsible for bidding on new projects and managing client relationships.
