Wintech’s Managing Director, Paul Savidge, attended the CWCT AGM last week, taking part in a panel discussion on the Building Safety Act’s impact on façade design and procurement, alongside Robert Simcock from Sir Robert McAlpine and Terje Vallestad from Permasteelisa Group.
“The BSA means that we now need to provide a detailed design at an early stage, including all of the principal design elements. This necessitates a coordinated design process, from procurement to completion, and engagement with a façade consultant. Thanks to David Metcalfe of the CWCT for putting together another excellent event”

Paul discussed the impact of the Building Safety Act, including the importance of a design-led strategy and the need for evidencing recognisably competent designers, in order to demonstrate compliance for Gateway 2.
