Wintech Directors James Lane and Clyde Abela are attending the inaugural International Presidents Technical Conference, hosted over two days at the University of Lancashire.

This landmark event brings together leaders in fire safety to explore some of the industry’s most critical and emerging topics ranging from fire risk assessment to Building Safety Regulator (BSR) policy.

Among the standout sessions was a thought-provoking lecture by Professor Richard Walls, “When Sustainable Construction and Fire Safety Meet.” which addressed the balance between innovation and risk in modern building practices. Other sessions spanned from techniques for assessing fire resistance of existing heritage and lightweight construction elements, to advanced modelling techniques for simulating evacuation, as well as the latest developments from the building safety regulator.

The conference also featured an exclusive Conference dinner reception, offering valuable networking and reflection on the day’s insights.

Events like these play a vital role in strengthening our collective knowledge, sharing best practices, and driving innovation across the sector. It is an honour to have James and Clyde representing Wintech and contributing to these essential industry conversations.
