Thank you Armand Terruli for welcoming us to Sheppard Robson last week to deliver a CPD session on the Embodied Carbon of Façades.
Sustainability Engineer Tara Sabri, joined by Associate Director Paola Modina and Commercial Engineer Charlie Shaw, led a presentation offering practical insights into how design decisions such as building form factor, façade material selection and glazing to opaque ratios directly influence embodied carbon emissions.
The session also created a valuable opportunity to open up meaningful discussions around current sustainability challenges, particularly in light of the publication of Version 1 of the UKNZCBS, and the urgent need to reduce embodied carbon across the built environment.
