Wintech was honoured to participate in The Institution of Fire Engineers 2025 Graduate Lecture at the University of Central Lancashire — an event dedicated to nurturing the next generation of fire engineering professionals.

Director James Lane and Graduate Fire Engineer Asad Ali represented Wintech on the day, with James privileged to serve as a judge for the student presentations. The event showcased the knowledge, skill and passion of upcoming fire engineering talent, with students delivering insightful and well-researched presentations throughout the day.

The programme was opened by Dr. Shephard Ndlovu, PhD, followed by an inspiring keynote lecture from Dr Barbara Lane CEng FREng FRSE, titled “Fire Engineering in a New Era: The Post-Grenfell World.” Dr Lane’s address set a thoughtful and forward-looking tone for the day, highlighting the evolving responsibilities of fire engineers in today’s-built environment.
