We were honoured to be the principal Gold Sponsor of this year’s The Institution of Fire Engineers International Presidents Technical Conference, hosted at the Springfield Campus of the University of Wolverhampton.

The event was opened by James Lane, International President of the IFE and Director of Fire Engineering at Wintech, followed by a keynote address from Dr Paul Hampton from the University of Wolverhampton.

The conference brought together leading fire safety professionals from across the UK and internationally to discuss some of the most important challenges and innovations shaping the future of fire engineering. With two technical presentation streams, delegates explored topics ranging from the impact of residential fire sprinklers on lithium-ion battery fires to the latest updates to Approved Document B.

The conference concluded with closing remarks from Wintech, Director Clyde Abela, whose thought-provoking case study sparked valuable discussion ahead of the networking drinks reception.

Reflecting on the event, James Lane commented:”It’s been a pleasure to be part of putting this event together. Everyone on the programme committee has contributed to a really great programme showcasing some fantastic presentations that will help push the boundaries for a fire-safe future.”

Events like these are essential for sharing knowledge, challenging established thinking, and advancing innovation across the fire safety sector. We are proud to support initiatives that bring together industry leaders, practitioners, and academics to drive positive change.

A sincere thank you to all speakers, delegates, organisers, and sponsors who contributed to the success of this outstanding event.
