We are thrilled to share that Station House has won in the “Adaptive Reuse (£5 million and over)” category at the Architects Journal Retrofit & Reuse Awards!
A huge congratulations to our Building Services team who played a pivotal role in this complex and ambitious project. In close collaboration with Scapolan Burney Architects and X Construct, the team delivered fully detailed and coordinated working drawings, transforming concept into reality.
The project demanded careful design to preserve essential supplies to the railway station and retail areas, all while undertaking the wholesale replacement of central plant and delivering a scheme that met onerous noise and ventilation requirements next to the West Coast Main Line.
Judges commended both quality of the conversion and scheme’s strong sustainability credentials, with one commenting, “This nicely addresses two issues in one: climate and housing.”
Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering such an innovative and impactful project.
