James Lane joined the Wintech Group in early 2024 as Director and Head of the Fire Engineering Division. In a short period, he has significantly strengthened and led the division’s growth.

A recognised expert in fire safety, James has been actively involved with the Institution of Fire Engineers, serving as a member of their Chartered and Incorporated Engineer applications review panel and as a Board of Trustees member since 2019. His contributions to the field extend to the British Standards Institute, where he has played a key role in developing important fire safety guidelines, including BS9999 and BS9991.
