James has reached the position of Principal Design Engineer and attained Chartered Engineer status through 36 years of experience working in the construction industry as a mechanical and electrical services engineering.  The foundation of James’ is career was a Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree awarded by the University of Leeds Mechanical Engineering Department. 

James has applied his skills across many sectors including manufacturing, educational, retail, leisure, health, commercial and residential projects.  Professional services provided have covered the full range of design activities from strategic advice and preparation of brief, across the various design stages, to construction and handover.  Recent projects have included Engineering and Sustainable Construction Centre at the James Cond Building, Birmingham, the de-carbonisation of the heating to a World War Two era aeroplane hangar at Cranfield University, and a 15-storey residential development at Tottenham Hale. 

James is looking to share the knowledge that he has gained through his career with young engineers and technicians, and assist with the construction industries move towards sustainable, modern methods of construction.  James is also a local Town Councillor with a passion for supporting active travel, sustainable development, and promoting biodiversity gain in the environment.
