Wintech were delighted to attend the topping out ceremony for the Octagon last week. This was a great opportunity to be part of the completion of the world’s tallest octagonal residential skyscraper and to mark a milestone in the development of Paradise Birmingham and Birmingham city centre.
Quality Director James Emery commented “Wintech were involved from concept stage with Howells architects, where it changed shape dramatically during these early stages. Our role encompassed producing a performance specification, participating in full laboratory testing to ensure the design functioned, and undertaking auditing responsibilities through RIBA stages 2-4.”
