We can undertake a full technical design audit for all the subcontractor’s designs, including drawings, calculations and other technical submittals. We will help see that the outcome of this stage conforms to the specification and the client’s requirements whilst monitoring and advising on changes to help inform the “Golden Thread” of project information.

As part of the design validation process, we attend and witnesses prototype testing aimed at assessing key performance parameters such as structural performance, impact resistance, weathertightness, fire performance, durability and operation of maintenance equipment.

Testing continues on-site to help verify that the installed works meet the performance criteria specified. we can witness tests such as façade watertightness, building airtightness, as well as commissioning of building services, smoke ventilation and fire control systems, and access and maintenance equipment. We draw on our many years of experience to assist with fault-finding and remedial measures if necessary.

We review the capabilities of the supply chain by reviewing their production facilities and practices, as well as their in-house design resource and technical capabilities – helping to make sure that the selected contractors are well suited for the specific project requirements.

Bringing years of practical site experience, we provide an overview of the installed works, reviewing the quality to help make sure it achieves the intended aesthetics, is in line with the specified requirements and agreed design, and replicates configurations that have been tested.

Our consultants engage in a dialogue with the site managers and personnel during site attendance to discuss observations and possible routes for resolution of any items of concern, which are recorded and tracked in detailed reports and trackers.
